(FR) Filigrees : antennas, movement and composition
June 04 and 05, 2022

Course in French 2x 2 hours via zoom - 2PM to 4PM French time
The course is recorded and available for 2 weeks after the live.

This course is for people who have already studied filigree decoration.

It is always difficult to build a harmonious filigree, to have free and expressive antennae, in short, to build a well-balanced decoration with matching shapes.
During these two sessions we will see how to build filigree patterns based on historical forms and arrange them in a way that creates a coherent and dynamic whole. We will study the importance of spaces and their position, how to intertwine lines that are supposed to remain isolated in order to create modern filigrees full of vitality.
This course is already full or is in the past (if you have a time machine, you can still register)

By taking inspiration from the forms created at that time and by adding others, we will try to obtain a balance that respects the breathing of the text in order to obtain compositions that are balanced and avoid, for example, caesura at the end of the lines. The course is open to everyone, experienced calligraphers or beginners.
